Pair of "Fun" table lamps, with a bulb cover made of mother-of-pearl discs, mounted on a circular, stepped, chromed metal base with a flat foot. Verner Panton, J. Luber edition. The "Fun" collection was designed in the 1960s by Verner Panton (1926-1998), a leading figure in contemporary Danish and international design. In creating this model, he innovated with a vibrant pop design, using new light-reflecting materials such as mother-of-pearl and metal, and designing a fluid light fixture that, under the effect of the heat emitted by the bulb and its thermal radiation, gently sways.
