Large Louis XV style console in hammered wrought iron, lacquered black and gilt. The openwork frieze is decorated with scrolls and florets, and centered with a bearded man's mask flanked by foliage. The base consists of two uprights with openwork scrolls, joined by a straight, undecorated stretcher. The uprights, highlighted with florets and acanthus leaves, terminate in claw feet. Beautiful breccia marble top with a molded, corbel-beaked edge. Made in the second half of the 19th century.
