A small clock in veined red marble and gilt bronze, adorned with a standing nymph resting on a sphere surrounded by swirling clouds and containing the movement. Roman numerals on the front indicate the hours. Gilt bronze hands in the form of serpents. The whole rests on a square base decorated with heart-shaped rays. An incised mark in the shape of a boat is located behind the movement, containing the letters JL F. Signed J. Dorval (Jacques Dorval-Déglise, sculptor born in 1860 in Algiers). French School.
