A large pink opaline glass pitcher and basin, decorated in white and gold enamel with palmettes, small pearls, and floral motifs. Wide gold bands accentuate the rim, handle, and base of the pitcher, as well as the edge of the basin. The set rests on a gilt bronze base with three curved legs joined by two stretchers and terminating in forked feet. The set dates from the Napoleon III period, circa 1870.
