A sea-green marble pedestal adorned with chased and gilded bronze mounts. The quadrangular, spindle-shaped shaft is decorated with a torch surrounded by a foliate wreath and a tied ribbon. At the top, three intertwined foliage wreaths are bound by a ribbon. The column rests on four small rectangular gilded bronze feet. The base and astragal are decorated with heart-shaped motifs. This pedestal is characteristic of the Louis XVI style .
