Italian alabaster sculpture depicting a young, nude woman in the classical style. The female figure stands on a sculpted rock. A flowing drapery, resting on her shoulder and ending at her feet, delicately covers part of her body. In a contrapposto pose, her two hands gently hold her hair, suggesting she is bathing. The young woman's face displays a cheerful smile and finely sculpted almond-shaped eyes. The final execution gives the body great plasticity, and the drapery plays a significant role in illustrating the figure's sensuality. The alabaster, with its naturally warmer color, enhances the flesh of this statuette. The piece rests on a stepped circular base. This statue of a woman perfectly illustrates the 19th-century taste for antiquity and Greco-Roman canons. Signed on the back of the base "A. Del Perugia" (19th-20th century).
