Nude woman lying on a bed. Lithograph dated 1986 and signed "épreuve d'artiste" by Alain BONNEFOIT.
He was born in Paris in 1937 and attended the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, where he devoted himself to sculpture and then engraving, with a predilection for the female body. He creates all his lithographs himself, drawing on stone or zinc plate, and ensures the quality of the rendering from the first to the last print run. From 1975 onwards, he developed a passion for Japan, where he regularly went to master the "Sumi-e" black ink painting technique. Alain Bonnefoit has had over 200 solo exhibitions worldwide, including a prestigious retrospective in his honor at the Hôtel de la Monnaie in Paris. Original burgundy-lacquered frame, dimensions 55 x 72 cm.
