ALAIN BONNEFOIT, "NAKED WOMAN LYING ON A BED"

He was born in 1937 in Paris and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he devoted himself to sculpture and then engraving, with a particular focus on the female form. He creates all his own lithographs, drawing directly onto the stone or zinc plate, and ensures the quality of the print from the first to the last. From 1975 onwards, he developed a passion for Japan, which he visited regularly to master the black ink painting technique known as "Sumi-e." Alain Bonnefoit has had over 200 solo exhibitions worldwide, including a prestigious retrospective in his honor at the Hôtel de la Monnaie in Paris.
