An antique gilt and chased bronze clock, the main face adorned with polychrome porcelain plaques depicting gallant scenes in the 18th-century style. The side faces are decorated with landscapes. The post, flanked by a bow and quiver, is surmounted by an urn with foliate handles resting on a branch. This clock rests on an oblong base, richly chased with acanthus leaves, florets, ribbons, and twisted motifs. Three other plaques illustrating bouquets of flowers on a white background enliven the base. Condition Report: In very good overall condition, with slight wear to the gilding. The original mechanism has been cleaned, serviced, and is in working order. 19th century, circa 1880. Dimensions: W: 26cm, D: 15cm, H: 39cm.
