The bronze figure "Memoria," with its nuanced brown and green patina, is signed Emile Louis Picault. It depicts a seated young woman, draped in a robe, holding a paintbrush in one hand and pages inscribed with "I evoke the radiant hours of the past" in the other. Behind her, the bronze is treated as a rock, decorated with oak leaves and the inscription "the heart remembers." This composition, in which the female figure extends beyond the frame, lends a sense of movement and great elegance to the whole. The sculpture is signed E. Picault on the side of the base and stamped "Genuine Bronze Guaranteed Paris" by the foundry on the back.
