An open book containing geometric diagrams rests at his feet. An early cast by the Susse Frères foundry in Paris. Titled on the base: "SUR LE CHAMP DU LABEUR LA VICTOIRE EST FÉCONDE" (On the field of labor, victory is fruitful). Signed on the base: "E. PICAULT". Also bearing the signature and stamp of the Susse Frères et Éditeurs foundry. Late 19th century, circa 1890. Dimensions: W: 41cm, D: 37cm, H: 79cm. In very good condition.
