This bookcase, created in the 1970s, is reminiscent of the work of Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019), an Italian architect and designer, a key figure in radical design in Italy. In the 1970s and 80s, he designed the Tempietto bookcase, a modular shelving unit in Carrara marble with glass shelves, produced by Up Group, an Italian marble manufacturer and distributor.
