"Hello Mr. Sioufi, I still remember that memorable evening when I discovered your sculpture. An iconic silhouette, easily recognizable even with a quick glance at your new acquisitions. I often found myself contemplating this sculpture and, at the same time, keeping an eye on sales, but despite the various existing models, they are few and far between, or only available at auction. This also explains why, and particularly regarding this piece, I had some experience with the differences it could present. Finally, your gallery had one. I had to seize the opportunity! Yet, nothing was guaranteed! On the one hand, there's the passion, but also the financial aspect, which is not insignificant either! Then doubt creeps in: did I do the right thing by embarking on this adventure? Especially now, in this somewhat tense and uncertain period. You will read elsewhere that this doubt quickly dissipates. I received the package last night, perfectly wrapped; I only understood what it was when I saw the sculpture." The origin of the "fragile" designation. Some pieces are added later, which accentuates its fragility. The discovery wasn't immediate, but it remains a source of indescribable joy. After careful unpacking, certain details began to appear, for example, the tip of the sword and later the dragon's claws; finally, the entire sculpture was revealed to me. It takes time for the eye to grasp the subtleties and the finesse of the details because, yes, Emmanuel Frémier was indeed an artist with a keen eye for detail. The French language has a rich vocabulary, yet sometimes, it must be said, one can't always find the right words. What can I say about the spurs! They are simply sublime! Indeed, they enhance the object with their presence, perfectly complementing it, and the quality of the finely executed craftsmanship is simply impressive, worthy of a great artist. You can congratulate him on my behalf. As you pointed out, one mustn't let oneself I was influenced by the photos, because in reality, the result is even better. To the question, "Was the restoration worth it?" Yes, without any hesitation! "Hello Ms. Sioufi, Last night, I left a message to let you know that the package had arrived safely. What a discovery! It took me a good thirty minutes to free the beautiful statue from its cardboard sarcophagus; the packaging was substantial, you do things by the book. And then, total amazement, it appeared before me in all its splendor. After placing it on the chest of drawers, it is very discreet thanks to its beautiful patina, and from certain angles it even appears gilded, but once your eyes are drawn to it, you can't see anything else. I truly feel as if it was made just for that spot. At the very beginning of our correspondence, I confess I had some apprehension, but in the end, I don't regret my choice. I also thank you for the dictionary of sculptors; the preface is very interesting because it explains the casting process—I'm thrilled! Best regards."
