A gilt bronze clock with its key, depicting a winged putto in an antique chariot drawn by two doves on clouds. It rests on an oblong base edged with water leaves, raised by a vase containing the white enamel dial, with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, very finely chased with small pearls, palmettes, and crosshatching. The movement is signed "Marie Prevost fils à Toulouse". The vase is flanked by two exquisitely crafted storks with outstretched wings, holding garlands of flowers in their beaks and resting on a pedestal adorned with water leaves. A bow, arrows, and two leafy branches decorate the front of the base, which is raised on four flattened ball feet.
Condition report: Original movement in working order. Enamel dial has yellowed.
