A very large tripod floor lamp in chased and gilded bronze, richly decorated with ibexes, garlands, lambrequins, and acanthus leaves. The slender stem is adorned with fluting and laurel scrolls. It rests on three foliate feet ending in hoof feet. The lamp is presented on a three-sided base upholstered in red velvet. The lampshade is a later addition, decorated with velvet trim and embroidery. Napoleon III period, circa 1860. Dimensions: W: 55cm, D: 55cm, H: 219cm. In very good overall condition. It has been electrified.
