A majestic Louis XIV style chandelier in chased and gilded bronze with six lights. The shaft, richly decorated with egg-and-dart molding, acanthus leaves entwining into scrolls, and architectural motifs, is adorned at the top with two consoles terminating in volutes, and at the bottom with canopies. The S-shaped arms are decorated with foliage and scrolls, and support candle holders chased with palmettes, shells, and interlacing patterns. 19th century. Circa 1880. Dimensions: W: 78cm, D: 78cm, H: 73cm. In good overall condition, with minor wear in places. Electrified and in working order.
