A pair of Louis XVI style half-moon console tables in richly molded and carved mahogany. They feature a central projecting drawer and two pivoting side drawers. All drawers are adorned with moldings and carved with waterleaf motifs. The column-shaped front uprights are decorated with fluting and gilt Ionic capitals. Each console table has two stretcher shelves against a molded paneled back, framed by fluted columns and pilasters. The tops are of molded blue Turquin marble. Each is stamped twice with the mark "ANDRIEUX Rue de la Bienfaisance PARIS". Napoleon III period. Circa 1870. Dimensions: W: 164cm, D: 60cm, H: 101cm. In very good overall condition, with minor wear to the wood and a few chips to the marble.
