Large Louis XV-style ormolu chandelier with twenty-four lights and sumptuous tassel decoration. The bronze frame is richly decorated with Rocaille-style moving foliage. The light arms form scrolls and are deeply sculpted with acanthus leaves and volutes. The fluid forms, with curves, counter-curves and twisted motifs, make this chandelier a typical example of the Louis XV style, widely imitated in the second half of the 19th century. Circa: 1880 Dim: W:96cm, D:96cm, H:96cm. In very good condition. It is electrified and can be fitted with the desired model of "candles" and bulbs.
