A pair of covered vases in finely chased bronze with a rich, continuous decoration depicting a circle of putti after Claude Michel (1738-1814 in Paris), known as Clodion. The stylized handles, in the form of cornucopias, are held by a seated cupid forming the finial. The bases have pedestals carved with acanthus leaves. Double patina of chocolate and gold. Circa 1870
