Pair of 1900 vases in blue porcelain of Tours with gilded decoration of roses topped by ribbons. These gold-coloured motifs are typical of the Art Nouveau decorations of the ceramist Frederic Gustave Asch (1856-1911). Active towards the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, he also worked for the Manufacture de Sainte-Radegonde. His "Bleu de Tours" associated with delicate gilded naturalistic motifs, made his reputation. Our vases are marked "France" and the small axe for Gustave Asch underneath.
