Louis XVI period clock in patinated, gilt and polychrome bronze depicting a soldier on horseback playing a tambourine. The white enameled dial, with Roman and Arabic numerals, and the mechanism are housed in the tambourine. The gilt bronze hands are finely worked. The rider and horse stand on a white marble doucine base with three gilded bronze toupie feet.

Condition report: in good overall condition, with slight wear, particularly on the polychrome parts. Marble with minor chips. Mechanism (19th century), overhauled and in working order.
