porcelain plaques from the Restoration period , decorated with a tavern scene and street musicians, made by Maison Giroux . Each polychrome glazed porcelain piece is numbered and bears a label on the back with the following inscription: "AU COQ HONORE. Rue du Coq St. Honoré, N° 7. Chez ALPH GIROUX à Paris..." (partially erased). Original blackened wood frame, adorned with a frieze of finely chased gilt-bronze palmettes. Both miniatures can be hung on the wall.
