A Restoration period fireplace screen veneered in maple burl and decorated with gilt bronze mounts. The uprights are in the form of detached columns with palmette capitals and waterleaf friezes at their bases. They are surmounted by rosettes. The lower rail features a post frieze. The rounded pediment is adorned with a motif of small flowers and elongated palmettes. The central yellow fabric depicts a winged Victory, dressed in classical style, on a globe, holding a laurel wreath and a spear, as well as arrows piercing laurel wreaths tied with ribbon bows. The edge is decorated with gilt braid. The screen rests on four curved bronze lion's paw feet. The back is covered in plain yellow fabric.
