A rocaille clock, richly ornamented in gilt and chased bronze , composed of scrolls, volutes, shells, and jagged leaves. Putti reading, fishing, or playing music complete this decoration, characteristic of the Louis XV style . Three panels with polychrome floral motifs decorate the main face and the two side faces. The mantelpiece, supported by a triton and a nereid, rests on a serpentine base, deeply carved with gadrooned foliage, garlands of flowers, and marine animals. Circa 1880
