A rocaille clock, richly ornamented in gilt and chased bronze , composed of scrolls, volutes, shells, and jagged leaves. Putti reading, fishing, or playing music complete this decoration, characteristic of the Louis XV style. Three panels with polychrome floral motifs decorate the main face and the two side faces. The mantelpiece, supported by a triton and a nereid, rests on a serpentine base, deeply carved with gadrooned foliage, garlands of flowers, and marine animals. Circa 1880
