Louis XV period barometer-thermometer in molded, carved, lacquered, and gilded wood. Its undulating form features a rocaille decoration with stylized foliage. The thermometer in the upper section is annotated with notes on the displayed temperature, including dates when Paris experienced record lows. The barometer in the lower section is signed "Gorinij Fresse Bozzo" on the dial. Both the barometer and thermometer are in working order.
