A set of three Wire Cone chairs and a Wire Cone table designed by Verner Panton in 1958-1959 and produced by Fritz Hansen in 1989. The Wire Cone Chair features a structure of curved, welded, galvanized stainless steel wires forming an inverted cone, with a metal cross base. The cushions are made of wool-like fabric. The padding is polyurethane foam. A variation of the K1 Cone Chair, the Wire Cone Chair emphasizes transparency and lightness. The table was the first to be produced with a wire base. This model is no longer in production. Table: H. 64, W. 76, D. 76 cm. Chairs: H. 75, W. 73, D. 67 cm. Design period, circa 1989.
