Biscuit porcelain group "The Grape Eaters," a model from the Sèvres porcelain factory after François Boucher, depicting two figures in a tender exchange: a young man offering a bunch of grapes to a young woman whose apron is filled with grapes, with a dog at their feet. The original model was created in 1752.
This example bears an impressed "S" mark within a medallion, followed by the inscription "SÈVRES MANUFACTURE NATIONALE FRANCE" (a mark used from 1928 to 1940). To the right of the mark is a second cartouche whose initials are illegible. This allows us to date this biscuit to around 1930.
Condition report : large crack at the back of the rock on which the young man visible in the photos is leaning
