A Sèvres porcelain wash set. It comprises a pitcher and a basin with a mottled blue ground, monogrammed and with gilt trim highlighting the neck and base of both pieces. Sèvres marks under the base (manufacturer and decoration): - pitcher: "S.79", and "Gilt at Sèvres 92". - basin: "S.80", and "Gilt at Sèvres 92". Height of the pitcher: 24.5 cm. Height of the basin: 12.5 cm, diameter: 39.5 cm. 19th century, circa 1879. Dimensions: L: 40 cm, W: 40 cm, H: 25 cm. In very good overall condition. The gilt surfaces show no wear.
