A Louis XV style gilt and chased bronze cartel clock with rocaille decoration of scrolling foliage, flowering branches, and openwork crosshatching, resting on four undulating uprights adorned with musical instruments, leafy scrolls, and flowering branches in the round. The movement, with a white enamel dial featuring Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, is signed "Eug. Baguès à Paris." The hands are finely chased with scrolls and foliage. Marked on the back of the dial "CHLESM1" and numbered "48178." The movement has been cleaned, serviced, and is in working order.
