Tulip chair in metal with a glossy beige finish. The chair's frame features a 360° swivel mechanism. The rotating shell is upholstered in a removable cushion, recently reupholstered in orange fabric. The Tulip chair is an iconic design from the 1950s. It was created in 1956 by designer Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) for Knoll and is part of the "Pedestal" collection. Tulip furniture is distinguished by its single pedestal base, maximizing legroom. We also have a second chair with a glossy beige finish and a swivel shell, which could be used to create a pair, and a third chair with a fixed shell and a glossy white finish. Design period, circa 1950. Dimensions: W: 49cm, D: 50cm, H: 80cm.
