"LA BOULE" STACKABLE TABLEWARE, VILLEROY & BOCH, GERMANY

A four-person dinner service, "La Boule" or "Die Kugel," in glazed earthenware, designed by Helen Von Boch (born in 1938) for Villeroy & Boch in the early 1970s. It comprises 19 pieces (4 dinner plates, 4 bowls, 4 dessert plates, 1 serving platter, 1 tureen with lid, 1 vegetable dish, 2 platters, and 1 salad bowl) arranged in a sphere in various colors (green, yellow, and orange). Each piece is marked "Villeroy & Boch, avant-garde, made in Germany." An identical set is held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Condition: In very good condition. Complete.
