A bronze sculpture with a brown patina, " The Embrace, " depicting two horses and a small dog, on a naturalistic base scattered with flowers. The dog, barking at the horses, wears a delicately decorated ruff. The group rests on a gilt bronze base with fluting and a stepped Griotte red marble plinth. French School, 19th century. In the style of Pierre Jules Mène or Charles Valton, a pupil of Barye and Frémiet.
