Michel Ducaroy: a new vision of design
Born into a family of industrialists who created contemporary furniture, Michel Ducaroy trained at the Lyon School of Fine Arts. He was soon attached to the Roset company, which grew rapidly, giving him a key role in the research and proposals that would establish the brand. This is how the emblematic TOGO sofa made its debut in the Ligne Roset catalog. In the 1960s-1970s, as soon as new materials appeared, he didn't hesitate to appropriate them to nourish his vision of design. In the 70s, he was called upon by the publisher Roche Bobois. This shelf combining brushed aluminum and smoked Plexiglas is the fruit of this original collaboration.
