Set of four "Barrel chairs 606" design armchairs by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). The American cherry wood frame with curved stave back is elegantly openworked at the back. The circular seats are each fitted with a polyurethane foam pad, upholstered in cream-colored Moleskine leather. By taking the shape of an open-worked barrel, Frank Wright gives the chair the intention of breathing and freedom of interior space that would characterize his work and his membership of the Arts & Crafts movement in the early 20th century. Barrel chairs are an American design classic and highly sought-after by vintage design enthusiasts the world over.
