A pair of porcelain vases decorated with monochrome Italian landscape scenes. The technique resembles that of engraving, using a fine point to produce the design in small strokes. Country scenes adorn the four sides of the base, as well as the body of the vase. The overall effect is enhanced by gold-leaf gilded surfaces that have not suffered any wear.
