A gilded and patinated bronze bowl depicting a draped faun carrying a nautilus on his shoulders. The shell is richly decorated with pampers, acanthus leaves and a satyr's head. In very good vintage condition. Based on a model by Balthasar Permoser (1651-1732) and Bernhard Quippe (1662-1722). The original made in 1707 is kept in the Grünes Gewölbe collection at the Residenzkasteel in Dresden, Germany. Circa: 1880 Dim: W:15cm, D:18cm, H:31cm.
