A sumptuous Louis XV-style chandelier in chased and gilded bronze, with thirty moving light arms. It is richly decorated with Rocaille-style acanthus leaves, grapevines, florets and jagged foliage. The bobèches are finely carved with lattice and foliage motifs. With its twisted forms and rich decoration of intertwined foliage and Rocaille motifs, this luminaire is a fine example of "de style" pieces produced under Napoleon III.
