Porcelain mirror of oval shape, decorated with a garland of polychrome flowers in relief and a Rococo-style frieze of pearls. The top is decorated with a light-blue bow with gold highlights. A pair of removable candleholders stands on either side of the mirror, allowing candlelight to be reflected and illuminate a room. The wooden back features two small feet and a sliding display system. Apocryphal signatures of Jacob Petit (JP) and Meissen (2 swords and star). The Meissen Manufactory and Jacob Petit have great similarities in their work with flowers in the round. Probably Samson. Condition report In very good overall condition, with a few chips to the petals and slight wear to the gilding. Particular care has been taken with the flower work.
