Rare pair of tripod Blue John cassolettes with gilt bronze mounts, finely chased with foliage. The base is adorned with busts of winged women holding garlands, ending in ram's feet. The ensemble rests on a circular base and three toupie feet. The neck and base of the cassolettes are decorated with gilded bronze pearl friezes. English work from the 19th century. Circa: 1810 Dim: W:11cm, D:11cm, H:30cm. In very good condition, with tiny chips on the edges of the lids.
