SIX "BARREL CHAIRS" BY FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT, CASSINA EDITION

Suite of six armchairs "Barrel chairs 606" in solid cherry wood designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). This intention of breathing and freedom of the interior space is characteristic of Wright's work. The round seats are covered with polyurethane foam and covered with white LELIEVRE fabric in the "Sherpas Craie" color.

This essential armchair from the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 20th century, in the shape of a barrel, was invented by Wright in 1904. In 1937, he reworked the Barrel to integrate it perfectly into Hibbard Johnson's Wingspread House. He was one of the first architects to combine interior design with architecture. The suite we offer was produced by Cassina in 1986. Each chair is numbered from 4253 to 4258 and stamped under the seat.
