Bronze ewer with double brown patina and medallion with high-relief decoration of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Lying on the belly, Eve is surprised when she picks the forbidden fruit, which she later makes Adam eat, leading to their expulsion from Paradise. The trunk of the apple tree forms the handle. Signed on the body: "Victor Cherrier" for Eugène-Victor Cherrier, a French sculptor active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Very good condition.
