On a circular base in blue porcelain with gold highlights, a biscuit representing Psyché as a little girl hiding the bow of Love. This model is the counterpart to Etienne-Maurice Falconet's Amour Menaçant, commissioned by Madame de Pompadour and exhibited at the Salon in 1757. The plaster sketch of this Psyché was exhibited at the Salon in 1761. Unlike its counterpart, this model was never made in marble, but only in biscuit de Sèvres (a model in soft paste is kept at the Musée national de Céramique de Sèvres) or in glazed earth (kept at the Château de Fontainebleau). On the pedestal, Voltaire's motto has been modified to read: Non, pas plus que tu n'es mon maître Tu l'es, le fut ou le doit être Epoque XIX°, Circa: 1890 Dim: W:17cm, D:17cm, H:30cm.
