White Carrara marble bust of a woman wearing a veil and crowned with flowers. The delicately engraved dress and veil are typical of the late 19th century Italian school. Her bust is decorated with daisies, lilies of the valley, leaves and a scroll. The whole rests on a pedestal decorated with a rose in relief. The drapery around the neck is admirable and can be compared with Giovanni Strazza's "Veiled Virgin".
