Painted wood table zither. The handle is turned blackened wood. The soundhole rosette is decorated with a crown of oak leaves. Two fillets are engraved around the face of the instrument. The tablatures are indicated at the bottom of the instrument. The Operia Konzert-Harfe stamp is present in the soundbox and stamped on the upper left-hand side. The instrument was made in Germany at the end of the 19th century. Originating in China over 2000 years ago, it can be placed on a music stand. The musician plucks the strings with one hand and varies the pitch with the other, creating vibratos and sound effects.
