Charles X period dressing table in wood veneer with pivoting octagonal mirror (back of mirror upholstered in crimson fabric). It opens with a large drawer in the waistband and rests on two straight side jambs. The top is in veined white marble. The cabinet is inlaid with light-wood fillets and adorned with fluted strips interspersed with chased and gilded bronze florets, scrolls and palmettes. The light, refined ornamentation underlines the structure of the piece. It is completed by several carved wood motifs: chimeras, tulips, flowers and foliage. Our dressing table is on castors, making it easy to move around. It is part of a set including a Charles X period bed. Good overall condition, with a slight loss to the mirror frame. Charles X period, Circa: 1820 Dim: W:93cm, D:47cm, H:137cm.
