Arlequin Breche" marble column with fluted shaft, 19th century

Important column in breccia marble of Arlequin called "Arlequino". This neoclassical saddle of Doric order has a fluted shaft, the base decorated with a ring of laurel in gilded bronze. In the upper part, a square shelf with a doucine. The base in veined marble and square with cut sides rests on a gilded bronze plate. This Doric column from the Napoleon III period can accommodate a sculpture or a decorative vase.
