EMPIRE PERIOD COMMODE IN FLAMED MAHOGANY VENEER

A flamed mahogany veneered chest of drawersfrom the Empire period. It has a drawer in the waist and three drawers in the front. The uprights are in the form of smooth pilasters with gilded capitals and bases. The cabinet is decorated with bronze appliques on the belt, the locks and the drawer handles. It is decorated with palmettes, feathers and plant garlands. The whole is surmounted by a top of marbleof French Saint Anne.
Empire period, Circa: 1810
Condition report: Light wear to bronze and wood.
