Transition-style wooden chest of drawers, with central projection and inlaid decoration in rosewood veneer depicting quatrefoils in frames of stained wood fillets and an amaranth background. It opens with five drawers arranged in three rows, the lower two of which have a concealed crossbar. Inlaid scrolls and rosettes. Chased and gilded bronze ornamentation, including garland and triglyph falls, laurel wreath handles, triglyph motifs and medallion escutcheons. The cambered legs are adorned with acanthus leaves and lion claw hooves. Breche marble top. Late 19th century, Circa: 1880 Dim: W:113cm, D:57cm, H:87cm. In good condition, with slight wear to the wood. The marble is in very good condition.
