Louis XV-style corner console table in carved, molded and gilded wood. A rich décor of gadrooned foliage and scrolls on a diamond background forms the base of this console table. A molded and scrolled Breche marble top crowns the ensemble. The design of the foot and belt alternates between curves and counter-curves, giving this console table the fluid movement characteristic of Rocaille. We have a second console, slightly wider but of the same height, which would be a perfect counterpart to this one. Circa: 1850
